Introduction

Wusong Island is a small island located in the Songhua River, named after the beautiful hoarfrost that often appears, attracting many photography enthusiasts. In the cold winter season, rising water mist forms beautiful frost on trees, resembling patches of jade flowers from afar. Zengtongtu is the best viewing point on the island, where the trees have unique shapes and the willows along the river are covered with silver-white frost, a very eye-catching sight. The best viewing season is from late December to the end of February each year, with the best time for hoarfrost photography between 7:00-11:30. If you want to stay overnight, you can choose Zengtongtu or Hantun provided by local farmers, usually priced at 100-150 yuan per person including meals and accommodation.

Transportation

Wusong Island is located in Manzu Township, Ula Street, Longtan District, Jilin City. There are two ways to get to Wusong Island from Jilin City: 1. Tu Chengzi direction: take a bus at the Jilin City Highway Passenger Station, pass through Tu Chengzi to Wusong Island (formerly connected by a bridge), the whole journey is about 40 kilometers, and the journey takes about one and a half hours. 2. Ula Street direction: take a bus at the Jilin City Highway Passenger Station to Ula Street, the whole journey is about 35 kilometers, and the journey takes about one hour. You can also take a taxi to Han Tun in Ula Street, which is about 6 kilometers away. From Zengtong Village to Han Tun Ferry, it is about 4 kilometers and takes about an hour to walk.
