Introduction

The New Fourth Army Memorial Hall, built in 1986, is located on the north side of Jianjun East Road. The scenic area includes four areas: a group of sculptures, a stone forest, exhibition halls, and gardens. Upon entering the memorial hall, visitors will see two large red granite sculptures representing "heroic battles" and "supporting the army and the front." There are also statues of young pioneers carved from white marble on both sides of the bridge. In the center of the square stands a monument to commemorate the reconstruction of the military headquarters of the New Fourth Army, which was inscribed by Li Xiannian. Surrounding the square are more than 120 stone galleries displaying the works of revolutionary veterans and calligraphers from all over the country. The memorial hall is conveniently located and can be reached by taking bus routes 3, 5, or 29.
