Introduction
The famous Lake Garden boasts magnificent scenery and stunning natural beauty. It features multiple architectural landmarks that showcase the elegance and grandeur of Yangzhou, earning it the reputation of "the best garden in the world." Shouxihu Lake is named for its unique long and narrow shape, with a fluctuating lake surface and lush trees lining the banks, as well as elegant and exquisite buildings and colorful scenery. The bridges in the park each have their own unique character, with the Fengting Pavilion on Wutingqiao Bridge featuring southern charm. On the night of the full moon, the moon is reflected in the lake's fifteen arches, while the beauty of the twenty-four bridges stretching out like a rainbow in the waves of the lake is a sight to behold. In the summer, Shouxihu Lake offers night tours, where visitors can enjoy the stunning scenery of lit pavilions, towers, and the moon’s reflection in the lake. On either side of the lake and in Taohuawu, you can find the best spots to observe nearly 30 varieties of peach blossoms. The Lake Plum Forest in Wanhuayuan, located by the lake, is particularly eye-catching during the blooming season, as nearly ten thousand plum blossoms compete to burst into bloom, making it one of the most scenic plum blossom viewing locales in Yangzhou.
