Introduction

-The Qiyi Glacier is located in the nearest city in the Asian region, at an altitude of about 4600 meters, with a huge water storage capacity, and the mountain top is always covered with snow. -This glacier is easily accessible, and tourists can get close to it. In summer, driving up the mountain, you can enjoy the change of daytime climate and scenery. -Although the glacier is not very maturely developed and the facilities are not very modern, ordinary tourists can also come to visit. Due to the high altitude, it is recommended to walk slowly, especially on the stairs at the entrance, gradually adapting to the climate on the mountain. -Be sure to listen to the driver's return time arrangement and return as early as possible. If you miss the time, you can only wait for the next day to make arrangements.

Transportation
The Qiyi Glacier is located 116 kilometers southwest of Jiayuguan City in the Qilian Mountains. Visitors can choose to hire a car, drive themselves, or take a train and transfer to a shuttle bus to reach the glacier. Hiring a car is not recommended as it is about 130 kilometers of mountain roads with poor conditions and takes around 3 hours one way, costing around 550 yuan per car for a round-trip. The road is also prone to skidding accidents. Taking the train involves boarding the 7529 train (Jiayuguan-Jingtieshan) from Jiayuguan Train Station at 6:35 am, making a stop at Lühuazhan station at 7:00 am before arriving at Jingtieshan station around 9:00 am. From there, a white van with a sign for the glacier will take visitors from the parking lot to the glacier for a round-trip fare of 290 yuan per person, including admission to the site. The shuttle bus can be contacted at 18993788291 or 13993788281. The bus arrives at the glacier around 11:00 am and visitors must return to the foothills before 3:00 pm, otherwise the shuttle bus will leave. It is recommended for self-travelers in the peak season to contact the shuttle bus beforehand. Visitors can return to Jiayuguan by taking the 9530 train (17:04-19:35) and getting off at Lühuazhan station. Driving from Jiayuguan City, visitors should head southwest on National Highway 215 for 102 kilometers, then drive for another 9 kilometers to reach the glacier. However, the route is mostly a gravel road and small cars are at risk of scraping the bottom.
