Introduction

Mount Phoenix is one of the four famous mountains in Fengtian, known for its steepness and regarded as the "Gate of the Country", "first mountain of the Great Wall", and "first adventure mountain in China". It is a cool summer resort in Liaodong and a great place to appreciate red leaves in October. The mountain has quiet and diverse characteristic springs and caves, such as Phoenix Cave, Three Churches, and First Cave, which are winding and deep. In addition, there are ancient temples such as San Guan Temple, Ziyang Temple, and Guanyin Pavilion dotted along the mountainside, attracting many believers to come for blessings each year. The Phoenix Mountain Temple Fair is held on April 28th of the lunar calendar each year to commemorate Sun Simiao, the king of medicine, and various folk religious activities such as the Medicine King Parade and Medicine King Worship are held.
