Introduction

Qiao Family Compound is located in Qiaojia Village, Qixian County. Originally named "In Zhongtang", it was the residence of Qiao Zhiyong, a famous commercial and financial capitalist in the Qing Dynasty. The architecture is very grand, with a "double happiness" layout when viewed from above, and has been praised as "only the Imperial Palace can rival the Forbidden City, and only Qiao Family Compound can compare with it." On the brick carving screen opposite the main gate, there is also a rare art treasure - a "One Longevity Becomes One Hundred Longevities" picture composed of 100 different styles of longevity characters. In addition, there is a "Blessing Planted in Treasure Box" plaque hanging on the top floor of the compound, which was awarded by Empress Dowager Cixi to the Shanxi governor at the time.
