Introduction

The Revolution Museum was originally the Cuban Presidential Palace, which served as the residence of all the presidents of Cuba from 1920 to the victory of the revolution in 1959. It has now been transformed into the Cuban Revolution Museum, which showcases a vast collection of documents and artifacts introducing modern Cuban history. Behind the museum is the Granma Memorial, which houses the small boat and other artifacts used by Castro when he returned to Cuba from Granma Island.
