Introduction

Jingda Mani is located in the northern mountainous area of central Bali, a high-altitude plateau area, centered around the 1717-meter-high Mount Batur. The cool temperatures make it an ideal place for recuperation. The top observation deck offers a stunning view of Lake Batur, with clear and calm waters and charming scenery. The local Baddur volcano is active and erupted in 1917, causing damage to many shrines and villages. However, the mineral-rich soil brought by the volcano enables the cultivation of crops such as citrus fruits, bananas, coffee, and coconuts. In addition, the volcano blocks the moisture clouds from the Indian Ocean, creating abundant rainfall. Unlike other Bali residents, the people here believe in sky burial instead of cremation.
