Introduction

Churu Beach, located in the northwest of the south end of Tianning Island, was the landing site where the US military captured the island during World War II, hence it is called "Landing Beach". In addition, the sand here is long and star-shaped, hence it is called "Star Sand Beach". These unique sand grains are very beautiful and are considered a symbol of happy love and steadfast marriage. Couples who come here for vacation every year hope to receive blessings for a happy marriage. However, due to many tourists taking sand away privately, the ecology of this beach has been damaged to a certain extent. Local governments have now stipulated that marine plants and animals as well as stones and sand are not allowed to be taken out of the region, and violators will face heavy fines. In addition, all travelers need to undergo luggage inspection and even have to take off their shoes when they leave the area. Therefore, if you are lucky, you may be able to bring some sand back, but please be sure to comply with local regulations to protect the beautiful beach ecosystem.
