Introduction

Gulangyu Island is located southwest of Xiamen Island and faces Xiamen across the sea. It blends unique local culture and Fujian-style snacks, and the various exotic buildings bring a unique charm to Gulangyu Island. The island has famous attractions such as Shuzhuang Garden, Sunlight Rock, and Haoyue Garden, as well as many different styles of old buildings, suitable for taking a leisurely stroll and enjoying life away from the hustle and bustle. There are many small shops on Gulangyu Island with a petty bourgeoisie vibe, such as Zhangsanfeng Milk Tea Shop, Su Xiaotang, Zhao Miss's Shop, etc. You can spend your time slowly here, find a quiet and eye-catching cafe, and spend an afternoon. On July 8, 2017, Gulangyu Island was listed in the 52nd World Heritage List in China, becoming another honor after the Xiamen Gulangyu Historic Area.
