Manly Beach

Manly Beach is located in the suburbs of Sydney and is famous for its laid-back surfing culture. If you are looking for a unique surfing experience, this is the perfect choice. The charming coastline of the beach is shaded by the cool Norfolk pine trees and is known for its continuous waves. Manly Surf School offers group and private lessons for beginners, while avid surfers can experience thrilling surfing near Queenscliff at the northern end of the beach. Freshwater Beach, just a short walk north from Manly Beach, is also a classic surfing spot, known for its reliable sand dunes and stable waves, making it a popular surfing destination for many local surfing enthusiasts.

Byron Bay

This fashionable seaside town is a gathering place for hippies, trendsetters, and surf enthusiasts. Byron Bay's main beach is perfect for starting your Australian surfing experience, just take the beginner course with Let's Go Surfing. You can sign up for private lessons or group lessons to learn the basics. Female friends can also sign up for women's exclusive surfing courses. Byron's classic surfing beaches also include Tallow Beach and Wategos Beach. After experiencing the challenge of riding the waves, you can also explore more water adventure sports; you can kayak to chase dolphins, snorkel with sea turtles, or ride horses on Seven Mile Beach.

Bells Beach

Bells Beach is located along the Great Ocean Road, just a 90-minute drive from Melbourne. It not only attracts the world's top professional surfers, but also serves as the venue for the famous surfing competition, the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach, held in March or April each year. The beach is surrounded by cliffs, providing an excellent vantage point for watching the competition. You can take surfing lessons at the Go Ride a Wave surfing school, located near the Great Ocean Road in Torquay, Lorne, Ocean Grove, and Anglesea.
