Must-visit attractions in Puyang, Henan

Henan Province is located in the northeast of China's Henan Province and is a province at the junction of Hebei, Shandong, and Henan. Puyang, known as Emperor Qiudiu in ancient times, is one of the important birthplaces of ancient Chinese civilization. Central Plains culture has a long history and has produced many talents. Dajuesi Temple in Puyang is the only ancient temple that has existed for a thousand years in Puyang, Henan. The site of Qicheng in the Spring and Autumn Period is also preserved here. Central Plains Green Manor

Its main feature is the "green" exquisite garden landscape, with over 400,000 plants, 300,000 square meters of lawns, and over 50,000 square meters of water surface. It adopts natural landscape gardening techniques and plans to build over ten characteristic botanical gardens, including orchards, flower gardens, metasequoia and ginkgo gardens, plum gardens, bamboo gardens, magnolia gardens, and lilac gardens. Qicheng Ruins

The Qicheng site, located in Puyang City, Henan Province, central China, is an important city site of the Wei State from the late Western Zhou Dynasty to the Spring and Autumn Period. Its history can be traced back to the 11th century BC to 476 BC. In the Spring and Autumn Period, Qicheng was known as "Kongcheng" and was an important city of the Wei State. It bordered the Yellow River to the north, Jin State to the south, and Zheng State to the west, making its geographical location strategically important as a target for the feudal lords' struggle for power. At the same time, Qicheng was also the fiefdom of the Sun family of the Wei State. The influential Sun family played a crucial role in the stability of the Wei State's political power and the balance of power among feudal lords. Therefore, many historical events are recorded to be related to Qicheng, and Confucius' disciple Zizhi died in a political event related to Qicheng.
The Zhanghui Cemetery in the park is circular with a diameter of 20 meters. The base is 2.6 meters high and the top of the soil is 5 meters high. The tomb foundation is built with stone materials and has 8 reinforced concrete columns, two circular beams, and a lawn planted on the top of the soil ball. An 8-meter-wide circular road is built around the cemetery, with a rubble masonry retaining wall on the surrounding road and bluestone paving on the ground. Flower ponds are also included, with flowers and plants planted. There is a small square covering an area of 400 square meters to the south of the cemetery, paved with 8-meter-wide and 12-meter-high bluestone steps.
Mao Lou Ecotourism Zone is located in Mao Lou Village, Xinzhuang Township, Fan County, Puyang City, Henan Province. It is situated at the junction of Henan and Shandong provinces, with the Yellow River to the south and a dike to the north. The scenery is beautiful. The tourist attractions in the area include the Yellow River Corridor, Fishing Center, Natural Bathing Beach, Feitian Ferry, Tingtao Pavilion, Guanlan Pavilion, Zheng Banqiao Memorial Hall, and Happy Garden. It is an ecological tourism zone with strong Yellow River characteristics.

Puyang Shijinyuan

Located in Wangzhu Township, Longhua District, Puyang City, it is mainly engaged in flower production, flower distribution, and undertakes landscaping projects and external technical training. There are six major landscapes in the scenic area, including a glass greenhouse intelligent breeding area, a standard daylight greenhouse, a plant cloning center, a science popularization corridor, a grapefruit garden, and a rare plant sightseeing area. These landscapes combine aquatic plants, desert plants, aromatic plants, medicinal plants, tropical rainforest plants, rare fruits and vegetables, and ecological landscapes such as secluded paths, flower corridors, bamboo trellises, and streams, forming a unique landscape that integrates modern agricultural technology, rare plant sightseeing, science education, and leisure entertainment.
