Golden Beach

Yantai's best and cleanest beach, the largest beach in northern China, stretches for several kilometers and is wide and flat. Located in the development area of Yantai, Golden Beach has fewer people, better management, and vendors are not allowed, so the beach is clean and free of garbage. The sand here is golden yellow, extremely fine and smooth, and walking barefoot is not uncomfortable. The sea water is clear and blue, with many seabirds. Firstly, the water is shallow, and walking 20 meters in is only up to the knees. The waves are gentle, making it suitable for children to play in the waves and sand. Looking down, you can see groups of small fish swimming by your legs, which cannot be compared to other coastal areas in Liaoning Province. Local people also come here to swim, and older children can learn to swim. Children can use their imagination to build sand castles, dig moats, and there are always other kids joining in, making it a delight. Digging in the sand can also reveal small crabs and clams, bringing even more joy.

Yantai Mountain Scenic Area

Yantai Mountain is a symbol of Yantai, surrounded by the sea on three sides. Standing at the top of the mountain, you can have a panoramic view of the whole city. It is a great place to overlook the sea. The area is densely populated with modern foreign consulates, foreign firms, villas, and other buildings, which are well-preserved. The old buildings and the sea view in this area are very beautiful, highly recommended for everyone to visit! Hurry up! Have a safe trip. Ice Heart Memorial Hall, Beijing Opera Art Museum, Former Site of the Danish Consulate, Yung Hsing Foreign Firm... Each old building has its unique charm and carries its own untold stories, worthy of careful appreciation.

Yantai Haichang Whale Shark Aquarium

Yantai Ocean Park (Haichang Whale Shark Pavilion) is located near the Haichang Fisherman's Wharf. Take the double-decker bus Route 17 to get here, and the sea view along the way is breathtaking. The overall design resembles a conch shell, but unfortunately, there is no elevated spot nearby to capture the panoramic view. It is the world's first oceanarium with a whale shark theme, and visiting the marine park is a great way to expand knowledge. Highly recommended to bring children along.

Long Island County

Chang Island is a sea island county belonging to Yantai. Most tourists who visit Yantai will go to Chang Island and stay there for a night to enjoy the fishing village lifestyle. Chang Island is charming for several reasons. Firstly, it is known as the Miao Island archipelago and is a popular tourist destination with well-developed travel routes and facilities, especially popular among people from the northwest. Secondly, the island is full of the atmosphere of fishing village joy. The fishing harbor is busy with fishermen working, and almost every household on the island runs a fishing village guesthouse, each more welcoming than the last. You can also take your children to the beach garden to catch crabs, octopuses, sea stars, and loaches.

Yingma Island Street

Yama Island is a small peninsula near Yantai Binhai East Road. It is currently a free attraction, connected to the mainland by a sea bridge and can be accessed by car without parking fees. It is convenient to enter and exit, has beautiful scenery, and is a nice leisure place. Turning right to the island leads to scenic spots with beautiful buildings. The sea water here is clear and the beach is fine. The sight of waves crashing against the rocks is spectacular and captivating. The island is not crowded, with fresh air, abundant sunlight, and smooth roads, making it ideal for self-driving or cycling. Local people usually drive here on weekends, eat seafood in small seaside restaurants, choose their own seafood from buckets, and cook it in its original flavor. Freshness is the best taste. Afterwards, the whole family can take a walk by the seaside. There is also picnicking with a barbecue stove, enjoying a leisurely and pleasant time.
