Shangbara seven lakes

Shangbala Seven Lakes is the most representative example of this ice lake phenomenon. In Tibetan Buddhism, these seven lakes are considered as the "Seven Cleansing Waters" dedicated to Buddha and are renowned as "Heavenly Lakes". The seven lakes consist of Rui Cuo and six other glacial barrier lakes arranged in a string-like pattern, with each lake having its unique shape. They are connected by waterfalls or river bends, creating a beautiful and spectacular view. It is also an excellent location to admire the three sacred mountains of Daocheng Yading from a distance. When looking southeast from the western shore of the seven lakes, the "Three Holy Mountains of Daocheng Yading" perfectly align with the lakes, creating a perfect combination of "Sacred Mountains" and "Holy Water".
