Gan Tai Xiang is a century-old shop in the silk industry in Suzhou. It was founded around the 9th year of the Qing Tongzhi era (1870). According to the 14-member directory of the Suzhou Chamber of Commerce for silk and satin industry in the 34th year of Guangxu (1908), Gan Tai Xiang was listed as one of the businesses. Although there are not many records about the establishment of Gan Tai Xiang, this well-known old brand in front of the Guanqian Street has long been famous among its counterparts in Suzhou.

Peach Blossom Village Woodcut New Year Painting Museum

The Taohuawu Woodblock New Year Painting Museum is located in Puyuan. In early 2008, a copy of the Taohuawu woodblock New Year painting "Harmony and Happiness" from the Yongzheng period of the Qing Dynasty was successfully created in Puyuan. This was the first attempt in Suzhou since the founding of the country to replicate representative works from the peak period of Taohuawu woodblock New Year painting, and it can be called the pioneering work of "reproducing classics" of Taohuawu New Year painting. The characters in the painting have a rounded and solid appearance, wearing red flowers on their heads, with long hair braided with sheep horns, and adorned in colorful clothes. They also wear silver locks engraved with the words "sun and moon shining together," exhibiting a sense of innocence and refinement.
