Have anyone ever brought Mei Zhen Xiang's small packs of jerky to the US? If carried as checked baggage, do I need to declare carrying meat ?

Why would you challenge the legal bottom line of the United States for some meat? It's better to throw it in the trash can. Talking in the dark room wastes so much time.

Customs regulations prohibit bringing in items that have not been inspected. If caught, it is likely that one will be put on a blacklist. Every time luggage is searched, the most severe punishment is immediate deportation. These are all based on the discretion of the customs officer.
